CARYS
Carys Mai is an up-and-coming English singer-songwriter who had the privilege of growing up in France for 15 years, where she studied music theory, saxophone, and percussion. Born into a musical family, Carys Mai started singing, writing, and performing in front of crowds at the young age of 7. After 8 years of choir, performing with her family and another band she was classically trained in opera for two years. She now accompanies herself on the guitar but still loves performing as a part of a band and has an extensive repertoire of covers and original material with the ability to adapt and expand upon request. Inspired by her passion for music and travel Carys Mai has been exposed to all kinds of music, and loves improvising and connecting with people during her travels. She is equally happy singing in intimate scenarios such as bars, as well as on stage at music festivals or for weddings.
